A couple of weeks ago, Oliver's school held student-led conferences, where the students go through a checklist and show their parents what they've been working on so far at school. In Oliver's binder, he had an example of his best story. I loved it so much that I had to take pictures of it so I could read it again! :-)
Title page: "Zimmer and her world!"
"Once upon a time there was a women named Zimmer, she made people into monsters. Some of the monsters had a lot of eyes and others had fangs. Oh, and some were vipers or cobras and they were so deadly. Their venom turned people into snakes. Some had two heads! The snakes laid laid eggs. The eggs were poisonous and were very deadly. The snakes helped Zimmer build her army. Zimmer has a castle. One time, a brave knight fought against Zimmer, but Zimmer turned his horse into pizza, and Zimmer . . . "
" . . . won! The knight ran away! The monsters across the land heard about her defeat. The next thing she knew her castle was surrounded by trolls. The trolls let nobody into her castle. She is so mean! One time Zimmer fought a great knight. Zimmer now had a castle and an army. The knight had a horse and a sword. The great knight won by destroying her army and wearing good armor did have a lot of cuts. After the knight destroyed Zimmer, the knight married a nice lady named . . ."
" . . . Annabell. They went to the beach and went on a cruise and lived happily ever after. The end."
