Building with Legos

We spend a lot of time playing with legos at our house. In fact, Oliver will sit down and build by himself for well over an hour! I never thought he would ever find an activity that would hold his interest for that long (just kidding!)!

Buttercup really enjoys legos, too. A couple of months ago we bought her a box of "big girl" Legos (the small size, for ages 4+) because she only wanted to play with Oliver's and not her own Duplo Legos. The only problem is that she can't open her lego box by herself, so when Oliver gets his own lego box out to play, he also gets her box out and opens it for her. It really is very cute. :-)

Over several days last week, Oliver worked hard on making his own lego town. He started with the green baseplate, then created a police station, science lab, road, gas station, and hospital. He finally finished it, then asked me to take "a lot of pictures to show Grandma, Grandpa, Grammy, and Granddaddy." So here it is!

Still needed a few adjustments!

Good job, Oliver!
