Visit from Grammy!

We had a very special guest for the past few days -- my mom came to visit! Everyone was so excited. Oliver talked about it for all of last week and was so happy to see his Grammy when she drove up to our house on Saturday!

Buttercup and Grammy hit it off right away.



























On Sunday, Mom taught me how to make gumbo. Our house smelled like roux for 2 days! YUM.





























For the rest of Mom's visit, we had fun doing the usual things -- playgrounds, playing outside, stomping in the mud, writing with chalk, playing in the sand box, etc.














































Buttercup got too warm outside yesterday afternoon, so Mom took her inside to cool off while I stayed outside with Oliver. He started drawing with chalk and said, "Hey, this looks like a sea otter!" And you know, it really does look like a sea otter. :-)
